I am an experienced and qualified music teacher based in south Nottinghamshire, teaching saxophone, oboe and also general music theory.   I believe musical skills can be learned and enjoyed at any ages, and my pupils are of all ages from children aged around 10 to adult beginners of over 70 years old.  I teach up to diploma level and many of my pupils choose to take exams, although it is entirely optional.  I also enjoy running courses, including the popular 'SaxDay' events which attract saxophone players from across the UK.

Performing is an important part of my musical life and I play with several groups, as well as giving occasional solo performances.  I have also released a recording of solo works for saxophone.  I am a full member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians.
